Hey friends!! My name is Mekayla🤍, and I’m currently studying for a Bachelor of Speech Pathology. I've created this website as a creative and self-exploring space where I share who I am, what I’m learning, and where I’m heading.

Why speech pathology?
I believe everyone deserves to be heard and understood. Communication is how we connect with the people we love, and I want to help people find their voice with compassion, patience and confidence. I’m especially drawn to [paediatrics and family-centred care], and I’m still exploring the other areas of the profession as I learn.

The real journey
Studying speech pathology is a lot. There’s study, then more study, and some days it feels like it goes on forever. I’ve had moments where I questioned everything and even looked at other paths. But every time, I come back to why I started, and that’s what keeps me going.

What I value
My faith keeps me grounded. I value empathy, honesty and gratitude, and I’m always grateful to my family, whose support and sacrifices have shaped who I am. I also love adventure, and I dream of travelling the world.

Where I’m heading
I’m working towards graduating, finding the area of speech pathology I’m most passionate about, and building a meaningful career where I make a real difference for clients and families.
